- What is healing the sick with handkerchiefs? In Posting questionsDecember 14, 2019Although a handkerchief is used in the account of healing the sick, however, this was an exceptional account, and only unique to the individual, in whom the special miracle was wrought through, by God. Neither was it the perspiration of the Apostle Paul which brought forth healing and deliverance through the handkerchief. This incident has been grossly misinterpreted and enacted by false prophets and teachers, alike, by sending out a handkerchief soaked in body fluids, or other clothes as a source of healing. This is not the case observed here in the account of Acts 19:11-12. The healing wasn’t in his body perspiration. This was an Extraordinary event, the phrase used to describe this miracle is, dunameis ou tas tuchousas. The idea here is, it was so extraordinary like none other, even so, it was unknown to the other apostles, but unique to Paul. With the exception of Christ, there have been very few humans to ever experience such feats with the body and mind, one was Moses. The physical lights shown through his skin, having been in the presence of God cause him to cover his face in public. The same was seen with Christ in the healing of the woman with the issue of blood. Remember her words, If I can just touch the hem of His garment, I will be healed, and she was healed. The power within Him, flowed out through Him. Unlike, certain so-called healers and miracle workers of today who places focus for a deception on the external, such as body perspiration, or cologne transmitted to a handkerchief as a means of healing. Observe the words of Christ after the lady reach out to Him and touch Him and she was healed. • Jesus said, Someone did touch me, for I knew power having gone forth from me. Luke 8:46 Notice, the power went from Him through the cloth, the fiber only acted as a conduit, instead of today’s presumption to store up fluid in a handkerchief for a healing. Lastly, the true preaching of the Gospel should always be placed ahead of healing. For where the Gospel is preached, people will be set free, and the healing of their mind and body will follow, instead of being healed, but captive to bondage.90

- The lying spirit is back in the earthIn Happening Now·August 28, 2021And he said, I will go out, and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. (The prophets of Ahab the wicked king) And the LORD said, Thou shalt entice him, and thou shalt also prevail: go out, and do even so. 2 Chronicles 18:21 The recorded account above gives us a glimpse of the driving force of this natural physical world, which is first carried out in the spirit world. As the human body is a physical body, but the will of the individual, the thinking, and the intellectual ability for decisions, these aren’t seen. However, they are the driving force of men. So is this world that we are a part of, in relation to the unseen, which is the spirit world. As believers, this we know, good and evil cannot coexist. Therefore, the verse above does not contradict that which is known, but it should serve as an opportunity for an insight to that which is yet to be known. The lying spirit mentioned in the verse above isn’t a righteous spirit, nor is it an angel of God. For God is not the author of deception. When the truth of God is presented, but it’s rejected, those that reject the truth are now exposed to deception. If two individuals began a journey, wherein both are given a coat of covering for a protection against the elements, one did gladly receive the covering to be used. While the other reject the covering, though both the individuals are exposed to the same elements during the journey, but he that received the covering will not be affected by the harsh elements. Whereas he who rejected the covering shall be constantly exposed to the elements and all the effects thereof. The covering in this case, is the knowing of God, for He is the way and the truth. His knowledge toward those that put their trust in Him shall be a covering in such times. However, the rejection of God shall expose those that reject the truth, to deception. Those that are deceptive in what they do, a lying spirit shall have access to that which they speak. Such is the verse of the exposition, therein we perceive a lying spirit in the present of God, not that He is the author of the spirit, but due to the ways of Ahab the wicked king, he was now exposed to deception. Out of one, many shall be deceived. At times, those that are deceived will dismiss the notion that they have rejected God. However, a person or a nation that believes in God, but willingly chooses, and align themselves to a single individual who have rejected the things of God, the people of God themselves shall be deceived. Such was the case with Ahab, having rejected the things of God, he surrounded himself in the state of falsehood, and from his false prophets many were deceived. Today, the same lying spirit is back in the earth, and many are exposed to the deceptions, even those that called themselves Christians. If a modern nation elects a king or a ruler who rejects the things of God, lies and deception shall befall that nation. Many shall be deceived, for they that elected a ruler who rules not by the counsel of God, seeing they shall see, but not discern, hearing they shall hear, but not listen. If they fall, shall it be by the hands of God? No, but the rejection of the truth shall be their ruin, but those that received the coat of covering for a protection against the elements, walk therein this journey of life, and remove not your protection, lest you too fall along the way. The harsher the elements, the firmer you cling to your coat of truth, which is your protection.8028
- Antediluvian age?In Posting questionsApril 24, 2018Well, Antediluvian is a big word with two words therein. (1) Ante - meaning, before. (2) diluvian or deluge - meaning a severe flood. So, basically when you say Antediluvian, you are saying before the flood. Precisely the Flood during the time of Noah. This is better to say than Noah's flood. For Noah wasn't responsible for the Flood. The Flood was due to the increasing corruption on Earth. For reference, this is found in Genesis chapter 6. The period of the Antediluvian age was from creation as we know it, until the door of the Ark was shut and the rain and the deluge came. This period or the Antediluvian dispensation (meaning a particular time) could be divided into two parts: (1) At the dawn of creation, and the (2) fall of man from the garden and until the flood. Dealing with the first, at the dawn of creation, all was good. This is a phrase used with repetition throughout the account of creation, denoting, everything God made was good. However, after the fall of man, things began to change. An example would be, the children born, were born in the image of their father, not in the image of God as it was intended to be. This is why when a baby is born, the baby is already aging. The consciences of men were the delight of their fulfillment, but without God conscience, their desire was evil. As recorded in Genesis 6:5, the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. That is to say, the human race became a reprobate in a depraved world. Or as a commenter puts it; Violence, profligacy among the lower, and cruelty and oppression among the higher classes, being only predominant. All the imaginations of their thoughts were evil - the very first embryo of every idea, the figment of every thought, the very materials out of which perception, conception, and ideas were formed, were all evil; the fountain which produced them, with every thought, purpose, wish, desire, and motive, was incurably poisoned. All these were evil without any mixture of good. The population of the human race at this point in time was on a rapid increase than ever before. Imagine a world where the life expectancy was as high as 600-900 years. A single individual could have over 100 children in his or her lifetime, excluding grandchildren. These figures are not a miscalculation or fable. The body was created originally to live forever. Hence, the human body, replenishes and refresh itself every so often. From the outside to the inside, the skin is renewed every 2-4 weeks. Certain cells like colon cells are refreshes in four days. The white blood cells take about two years to regenerate. The liver renews itself at least once within two years. Back to our text, at this point in time, sin was at its initial stage, infiltrating and wearing down the human race. Therefore, these men and women lived a long life. Sadly so, the majority was evil, from their youth and upward. Therefore, evil begot evil. With the unquenchable thirst of evil desire in the hearts of men, the presence of God was absent. There are many things about this time frame, but the little we do know gives an insight to the harmony of the Word of God, and a perspective of the earth. For an example, Adam, the first man, was alive. Likely he heard of what was coming (the Flood) as well as others who were alive during this time, Enoch will be another. However, this doesn't mean Adam died in the Flood. Physical aspect The earth likely took on a different form after the Flood, in terms of physical divisions and partitions. We are told in Genesis 7:11, the fountains of the great deep were broken up. The result was the rise of water from beneath the surface of the earth. The Flood wasn't just rain water turning into a flood. It was a catastrophic event, with earth movements and eruptions. It was a time of tribulation. The implication of the Greek word for tribulation denotes the act of pressing together or squeezing. This was the condition of the earth, as the waters from beneath broke forth, gushing out. The waters from above were released, causing immense pressure, crushing and destroying everything therein. Now, before the creation of the earth as we know it, water was everywhere (Genesis 1:2) During the process of creation, God divided the waters. (Genesis 1:7) Thus, we read, God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. However, the law that held the firmament in place, was withdrawn, causing a massive crushing of water on the earth. Looking up into the sky, there is a great expand, this is the firmament, beyond that, are the clouds, which consist of oxygen and hydrogen. Electric spark or lightning, passing through these airs, decomposes them and converts them to water causing rain. However, this was like none other rain. The Scripture described the scene as the windows of heaven were opened. Meaning a far greater downpour of rain than we are accustomed to. Consider a little spark of lightning causes rain upon a tiny portion of the earth. However, on a far greater scale, when the windows of heaven are open, imagine the scope of the lightning or the continuation thereof, and the loudness of such roaring thunder that follows. A horror to the scene for those who faced judgment. Slow is the judgement of God, but swift is its action. Blessed are those who accept His will, such was Noah and his family. During the of time judgment, God is with those who look on to Him. For we read in Genesis 7:1, the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before Me in this generation. The verb "come" denotes the presence of the Lord was already in the ark. Hence, He said to Noah and his family, come in. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thessalonians 5:9)80

- The Baptism of JesusIn General discussionsSeptember 10, 2018The Baptism of Jesus The question has been asked by the believer at times, for a better insight to the Baptism of Jesus. This question also has been proposed by scoffers of the Faith, as to why did John the Baptist baptized Jesus? Christ was greater than John, so John had need to be baptized by Christ. Those baptized by John were the representations of repentance and preparation. The Lord Jesus was sinless, therefore, there wasn't a need for repentance. So then, why did John the Baptist baptized Jesus? Explanation to the question and the exposition of the discussion Those who were baptized by John, it was sin that brought them there that they may repent. However, it was righteousness that led Christ to His baptism. Christ as our representative man, He stood in our place through a full representation of those things that were required of us, He did on our behalf that we may cease from our works and find rest in Him. Like His death on the Cross, though He wasn’t guilty of a crime, yet He died the death of those guilty of a crime. Therewith, He took on the sin of the world, without becoming a sinner. For further illustration, this is clearly seen in the typology of the Old Testament. The one guilty of a sin, brought an animal in his place, the priest then after the inspection of the animal, usually a lamb. By the placing of the hands on the innocent animal, the sin of the sinner was transferred to the animal as a sacrifice in place of the sinner. Whatsoever the sin was, it was transferred to the animal. However, if a person is guilty of stealing, the lamb as a sacrifice wasn’t a thief, or the sin of lying transferred to a lamb, didn’t make the animal a liar. Likewise, Christ our sacrifice, though He baptized the baptism of repentance, nevertheless, he wasn’t a sinner. Perhaps, the most beautiful explanation of such was penned by F. B. Meyer, He (Christ) was baptized that He might assume the sinner’s guilt, standing with him and for him and identifying Himself with his lot. . . and this we add, yet, He was without a sin.80
