Happy Blessed New Year.
Turning life’s empty chest to a vessel to sail anew.
Check the gallery for the newest painting, titled above.
Beneath a weathered oak, its leaves ablaze,
A weary cowboy seeks a moment’s grace.
Sun-baked skin and eyes that hold the West,
A symphony of triumphs, trials put to test.
His hat, a loyal friend, rests on his knee,
A weightless burden, mirroring his plea.
The wooden chest, once brimming with desire,
Yawns open, empty, a soul set on fire.
No glittering gold, no dreams it held within,
Just echoes of what might have been.
But etched upon his face, a flicker remains,
Not defeat, but a heart that still sustains.
Like a bluebird perched, hope above the vacant chest.
Beyond the great water, a canvas vast and bright,
A verdant shore bathed in ethereal light.
Trees in springtime bloom, a promise untold,
A land of hope, where dreams unfold.
The empty chest, a raft now, not a tomb,
To ferry him across the spirit’s gentle boom.
His failures, lessons whispered on the breeze,
Become the strength to navigate the seas.
His Winchester, inscribed with “Evolve,” now a paddle, guides his way,
Across the waters to a brighter day.
Empty goals, the Lord’s catalyst for change,
In His embrace, our lives rearrange.
His once strength to proceed, now as four horseshoes scatter amidst the scene,
Nailed to the tree, symbolizing burdens released, serene.
A dove above, heralding a new quest soars, Guiding him to where the spirit restores.
He bends his head, not in despair, but rest,
For even cowboys need a chance to be blessed.
The Holy Spirit whispers, “Rise, my friend,”
For new horizons beckon, without end.
