  • About The Artist | A Walking New Man

A Walking New Man remains a sole proprietor to the founder P. S. Wilmot, an artist/writer, and the mastermind behind the brand, A Walking New Man. In the recollections of his childhood, one of those things he passionately looked forward to was the reading section with his mother, during the after-school hours. She would ask him to read to her although she knew these books were children’s books and the stories therein were geared toward a child, but two would show great passion. ABOUT THE ARTIST PSW A Walking New Man is an online business and a resource center which has grown into a worldwide community of people. P. S. Wilmot its founder, a patriot who has a passion for bringing great resources to others. Through his books, and his paintings and blogs, among other materials. The site was originally founded and established as a space for discussion on books and the application for applying those things that are read about to the reader’s daily life. The idea soon grew into an online social platform, connecting more people worldwide. Which led to the establishment of a store and an online store with contents such as books, artworks and paintings showcasing faith and family values and current events. She would ask him to read to her, although she knew these books were children’s books and the stories therein were geared toward a child, but the two would show great passion. As he recorded, seeing his mother showing great interest in the stories being read to her by him, his passion for reading grew greatly. Instilling in him the love of books and reading, which carries over years later into his high school days. At which point he showed great interest in writing. Even before the high school years, as a child he would gather his friends without the ability to fully write, but he would construct a play with characters to be played by his friends and a storyline which always had a lesson in the end. Taking with him his passion for reading and writing , he continues therein until a somewhat baffling recollection. The nicest of the teachers once read over his works and told him, this is just not good. You could do better with something else. He did not take those words unto him as burden of disappointment. But continues to write, while integrating another of his childhood passions, inspired by his dad, the act of drawing and painting, which were coming together as one through his artworks with lessons. But during the darkest times of his life’s experience, silence became the turning of the pages of the many books. Staying isolated, while trying to make sense of those feelings he was experiencing. At times in the confinement of life’s uncertainty, the mind builds a physical barrier around the individual. As he later wrote in his pictorial autobiographic, A Walking New Man . I thought I had it all and all was figured out about life, until I knew not what I was missing, and when I couldn’t find it. I lost myself. These were hard times, but the only words that penetrated to him were the words of his mother. “I am praying for you.” She wou ld often tell him. The interest in the book did cease, but for one. His Bible became a source for hope and curiosity. In his words, I used my experience of reading as a means to open the pages of the Bible and find something within to change my situation, but I failed miserably to understand the contents therein. Although I read the renowned books and authors, the Shakespeare’s and epic poems as Beowulf, and many intellect writers, such as Robert Frosts and more, but the Bible became a deeper sea of mystery, the more I attempted to use my ability to understand it. But this I know, with desire learning comes easy to those who persist. However, persistence is not always how hard we try, but how more do we want it? For the individual without the Lord, to themselves they are their biggest hindrance. Therein, in order to find ourselves, we must be willing to let go of who we are. Knowing that my ways did not birth in me those things I once wished for, but I now trust, there must be a new way and it is the way of the Lord. That I may walk therein as a walking new man. Today these are the experience of a walking new man, sharing with others as a testimony of hope. We do not see all things, but the Lord does, and may we learn to trust Him, in all that we do. The site continues to expand for those interested in fine art and books dealing with faith, life, and living. And with the add-on of custom products to the store . Though the business remains local, but from an online aspect, it is national and international. With the founder’s understanding of web algorithms, within a few years, the site and its contents are showing at top on the major search platforms such as Google and Bing. With the change in the world, we have seen in the past years through lockdowns and working from home, many people have ventured into home business and online marketing businesses. This is the competition for A Walking New Man, most competitors are those who visit the website awalkingnewman.com and see the success and take upon themselves to do the same thing, even the selling of similar products. However, P. S. Wilmot believes persistence will outlast the competitors, regardless of high sales or low sales, high traffic, or low traffic; he believes it is his responsibility to be faithful and continue to offer quality content while being persistent. Writing books that the readers can relate to, and custom products that represent the individual and their beliefs in relation to current events. Read More

  • Never seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging for bread

The greatness of this testimony and the promise, isn’t having all that we need at all times for a comfortable living, but it lies in the fact that even when the comfort of life seems afar off, we know God will provide our needs. Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. The greatness of the Word of God is its integrity, by which it is without error nor deception. If contradictions arise, it is the reader’s lack of perception. So then, let it be an opportunity to gain a better insight. The passages below are some of that which we avert, for the lack of understanding, but with a willing mind, they shall be made known. Ways that God establishes I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging for bread. (Psalms 37:25) As David reflects on his life, the Psalmist brings forth his age, which compass his entire life, from young to old. Herein are his experiences; though afflicted through trials at times and persecuted by men, yet never forsaken by God. Though at times he is in need of life’s necessities, but God in His providence has always come through in one way or another, for the righteous and to his seed, or children. As God never forsakes the parent, likewise, the children will not beg for bread. However, as children, there are times we ask, of God and of others, knowing when we ask it shall be given. Consequently, asking is not begging, but the display of faith; trusting that God will work in his providence for that which is needed in our lives. As we read these passages, let the believer put themselves in the place of the Psalmist and his children. For this we know, all scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: (2 Timothy 3:16) Like David the Psalmist, being young and old, in spite of all circumstances, we are not forsaken by God, nor would our children ever beg for bread (life’s necessity) However, the greatness of this testimony and the promise, isn’t having all that we need at all times for a comfortable living, but it lies in the fact that even when the comfort of life seems afar off, we know God will provide our needs. In Jesus name, Amen. • JESUS OPENS BLIND EYES | Awalkingnewman.com

Dwelling on misfortune or seeking the solution to the problem? Miscellaneous Writings JESUS OPENS BLIND EYES Dwelling on misfortune or seeking the solution to the problem? Share John 9:2-3 (2) And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? (3) Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. Customary of those days, accompanied with a rabbi were His disciples. Their day to day learning from the master served as a channel from which others around them were blessed and taught, as they were taught through their curiosity. The many who watched and followed, learned as well, through the teaching of the Master to His disciples. So, today, may we learn through the curiosity of the past, serving as a discernment for the present and future. The question to the Master, through the curiosity from His disciples, is that which is typical of men. Man, in his nature without the constant intervention through the reminder of the Holy Spirit to point him to God, his mind will default to virtually all things, but God. The mind of men, when addressing a problem or a situation will seek to address a situation first, by elevating the problem rather than the acceptance of the solution which is God. The place is Jerusalem, the situation is not what it ought to be, therefore the disciples of Christ are perplexed. In this part of Jerusalem, as the Lord passed by, He saw a man which was blind from his birth. The word "saw" used here implies to be aware and to understand. Consequently, Christ having seen this man who was born blind, this was not mere of a view from seeing, rather He saw the situation in its totality. He was aware of the man's problem of being blind from birth. Thus, He understood that through the dark mystery of his blindness, the light of God would shine forth that he may see and others around him will perceive the glory of God. However, the disciples did not understand the acceptance of the solution, which was God in their midst. Therefore, they became perplexed by elevating the problem. This is evident from their question. His disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Here lies a man who has never known what it is to see, though he is aware of seeing, but he cannot see. This is symbolic to the believer, we are aware of that which is right, but in ourselves, we cannot do that which is right without the empowering of the Holy Spirit. The mystery of darkness he bore, his dependency on others as a beggar. The sorrow of not knowing from whence cometh his next meal or provision. Nonetheless, man in his approach to such situation will elevate the problem through accusation and judgment. More so, even the godliest would at times use God to point out a problem, but fail to seek Him for the solution. By elevating the problem, they sought out the perpetrator rather than the solution, by asking who did sin as the result of the man being born blind, the man or his parents? In so doing, they shall justify his problem as a punishment. They incorporated the Lord in their search for an answer, but fails to seek Him to solve the problem. Yet, by grace, Christ did heal this man without condemnation nor accusation against him. The healing of the man born blind served as the restoration of his sight, as well as the healing of the disciples’ heart. This we learn, during a situation we do not understand, let us anticipate the works of God that it should be made manifest. In the words of Christ to His disciples, He said, neither has this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. Christ wasn’t implying that this man was without sin. However, let us as disciples of Christ learn to seek God for the solution of the problem. Though we acknowledged the problem, but we do not elevate the problem over the solution. Even in the darkest of ours and others transgression and situation, may the glory of God shine forth, like the blindness of the eyes receiving its sight for the first time. Having seen clearly, now, may we walk in the right manners. So also, we should walk in newness of life, that we might live a new life. The Lord Jesus Christ came into the world, not only to give light, but sight to those who could not behold light. The sight that He gives to trusting souls proves Him to be the One sent of God to be the true light of the world. Experience of His saving power is a safer teaching than reason, therefore let those whose eyes have been opened be bold to witness to a world that would explain away His power. • PROTECTION IS PREPARATION

Miscellaneous Writings Miscellaneous Writings PROTECTION IS PREPARATION God is faithful to protect those who are called by His Name, His people. (Psalms 46:7) As God's people, protection is not a luxury, but rather a provision for proclamation. God did not protect Elijah in the Brook Cherith as a mean of a leisure time during famine and precaution. Neither did He protect Moses from the power of Egypt for 40 years, in order for him to sail into the sunset happily ever after. Instead, when we are protected by God, we learn not to fear those things we feared that we are protected from. That in due time we may learn about the Grace and Power of God and boldly say, Thus saith the LORD God. (Exodus 9:13) Like in the written lyrics of Ray E. Heady: In The Shelter Of His Arms When my soul was troubled with sorrow And my heart was broken within Jesus opened His arms of mercy And He tenderly took me in There is peace in the time of trouble There is peace in the midst of the storm There is peace though the war be raging In the shelter of His arm There is peace though the war be raging In the shelter of His arms Though this war all around be raging And it is filled with many, many alone Trust in Jesus, He will keep you In the shelter of His arms In closing, the Words of the Master, is the sure solid foundation. These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. • Looking beyond our stumbling block.

When we sin, let us not dwell on our sin, but through confession, may we look to the Lord, and love Him more. Looking beyond our stumbling block. An exposition on sin Let us know that we cannot focus on our wrongdoing to move forward, shall we then ignore wrongdoing? Certainly not, however, the awareness of our shortcomings and wrongdoing, with the heart of heaviness, is the evidence of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit within our hearts, to comfort, but there can be no comfort without grief. Therefore, those who love the Lord, are not perfected without sin, but when we sin, our spirit bears witness with the Holy Spirit, for the existence of a wrongdoing on our part. Consequently, we grieve for our action, unlike those in the world, we display remorse for our wrongdoing. To further understand this is to look at the word sin , from its true meaning in the Greek language. The word sin is the Greek word Hamartia. (Ha-mar-TEE-ah) The idea of this word is an act of civil offense , or an honest mistake . Hence, we at times, find ourselves doing things we desire not to do, but we keep doing it. Looking closely at the Greek word Hamartia which means sin, the English reader will see the similarity of the English word “hammer .” Like a sledgehammer , it is used to drive a wedge between a wood , to cause a split . This is the picture of sin. So, sin, or hamartia drives a wedge between us and God. So then, during this great division, to whom shall we cling to, the side of sin, or to the Lord? That is to say, when we sin, let us not dwell on our sin, but through confession, may we look to the Lord, and love Him more. The work of the Holy Spirit in us, is to convict us of sin, and this is done for one reason, but before this reason is given, let us look at that which is not the reason for the conviction of sin . This is why the believer struggle at times to overcome his or her shortcomings. When the believer sinned, he or she is not to fight the sin, for it was already defeated by Christ on the Cross . 1 Peter 2:24, Colossians 2:14. Instead, the conviction of sin in us is to draw us closer in relationship with the Lord, away from the sin. As He loves us, let us love Him in return. The deception of sin. Let us not fall short to the trickery of sin, wherewith we feel unworthy in our shortcomings and shy away from the Lord. Who shall restore us, but Him? In our conviction, may we love Him the more, eventually our love for Him will be greater than the temporal pleasure of sin. Until then, love not your wrongdoing, but love the Lord with all your heart.
