Workplace protection
a prayer for the office and more
Plead my cause, O LORD, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me. Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help. Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation. Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt. Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the LORD chase them.
(Psalms 35:1-5)
In Jesus name I pray
Amen.

Exposition of the prayer
One of the innumerable uniqueness and the beauty of the Word of God is, it is alive and well. For the circumstances of the past, the future and the present, it is the answer and the solution, for the weary soul, for the fear that immobilize. It shall be the light in life’s darkness of uncertainty, to those who plead to the Lord.
Like David of old, in times of contend, strive, quarrel, may the words of our mouth be our supplication to the Lord. When the anxiety of the heart causes weakness to the body, this we know, we cannot manage the situation in our own ability, but in humbleness, let the weary draws to the Lord.
If the cause of the unknown is raised against us, or the oppression of a tribunal, or summit before a judge, through false accusation. Or the wrongdoing of our will, in meekness, God is the advocate to the humble.
Therefore, whatever the situation is, may the awareness of the heart acknowledges, the plead of David. The Lord our God, intervened and stood up for David. So then, this we know by faith, the Lord will do it again. He will undertake our cause against those who had risen up against us.
Plead my cause, O LORD, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me.
Like the lyrics of Dawn:
. . . now it seems that there's no way out
And you're going under
God's proven time and time again
He'll take care of you
CHORUS
And He'll do it again
He'll do it again
If you'll just take a look
At where you are now
And where you've been
Well, hasn't He always come through for you
He's the same now as then
You may not know how
You may not know when
But He'll do it again
