GLADNESS FOR GROWTH

It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night.

(Psalms 92:1-2)

Whatever is our concern, it will be our focus. Those who give thanks to the Lord, the Lord is their focus, and in His ways shall they go. Therewith, His tender mercy will lead them through with love, unwavering.

Clarke said, thy abundant mercy, in the morning - that has preserved me throughout the night, and brought me to the beginning of a new day: and thy faithfulness in the night, that has so amply fulfilled the promise of preservation during the course of the day.

Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

(Psalms 51:10-12)

This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Many things I may not know, but this one thing I should know, you are the Lord of my life. From where you have taken me, is the reminder and the assurance of where you are taking me. My emotional journey and my physical journey are the path to my spiritual and physical growth. The path wherewith you have walked. Therefore, Lord, teach me to follow you. Let me lose those things that are not helpful for this journey and let me find myself and the things that are rightful, let me find it all in you.

In Jesus name I pray Amen.

Therefore, this we say again, it is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High.

In gratefulness and hope, we sing:

Many years I longed for rest
perfect peace within my breast
and I often sought the lord alone in tears
But I would not pay the price
would not make that sacrifice
So I wondered on and on for many years
Now let me lose my self and find it lord in thee -
May old self be slain my friends see only me
Though it cost me grief and pain
I will find my life again
Just to lose myself and find it lord in thee
